Marian Bailey, a student of B F Skinner, and Bob Bailey, a Navy dolphin scientist, took Skinner's work and developed reinforcement training, or shaping, as we know it today. Their video, "Patient Like the Chipmunks," offers vivid illustrations of basic principles of shaping, such as variable ratio schedules. The video also clarifies the reasons for such clicker training practices as letting the animal offer the behaviour, rather than forcing it. Used in dog schools as well as being good family viewing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
